Alloy was formed in 2023 when two fundraising organizations - Grant Scribes and Candy Berman & Associates - united to offer comprehensive grant writing and fundraising event support for nonprofits.
Our name embodies the belief that, like an alloy, we are stronger together. This philosophy of combined strength extends to our close partnerships with the clients we support.
25 years before Alloy was formed, philanthropist and legendary fundraiser Candy Berman launched an event practice specialized in promoting the culture and mission of nonprofit clients. We continue that practice today with a heartfelt commitment to the vitality and health of the metropolitan Atlanta community.
Our grant writing practice also has deep roots. Originally established two decades ago as GrantScribes by Shoshana Ben-Yoar, this practice has grown to a team of 25+ experienced consultants supporting more than 35 nonprofit clients across the country.
