In many ways, 2025 was the Year of Candy Berman at Alloy Fundraising. It was a year where Candy's leadership, generosity, and vision were celebrated across Atlanta’s philanthropic community.
But these honors were not the result of a single year of work. They reflect decades of steady, compassionate leadership dedicated to strengthening communities, building institutions, and expanding what philanthropy can achieve.
This video captures what so many in Atlanta already know and what we at Alloy are fortunate to witness every day: Candy Berman doesn’t just imagine what’s possible, she helps make it real.
Recognition Rooted in Community
In 2025, Candy was named Volunteer Fundraiser of the Year by the Association of Fundraising Professionals, Greater Atlanta Chapter. Alongside her husband, Steve Berman, she was recognized for leading Jewish HomeLife’s capital campaign, helping raise $15.25 million, surpassing the goal by $2 million.
As Board Chair and Co-Chair of Jewish HomeLife’s historic $17.5 million campaign, Candy helped advance a vision that will transform care for seniors by funding facility renovations, staff support, scholarships, specialized dementia care, and long-term sustainability.

In another moment of well-deserved recognition, Candy was also honored by the Atlanta Business Chronicle’s Women of Influence awards, recognizing her impact not only in philanthropy, but across Atlanta’s civic and nonprofit landscape.
Candy’s approach reflects the heart of Alloy’s work: fundraising is relational, rooted in trust, collaboration, and shared purpose.
Our Gratitude
At Alloy Fundraising, we are proud and grateful to work alongside Candy in her role as Chief Envisioning Officer. Her ability to see both the big picture and the human impact behind every initiative continues to shape our work and the communities we serve.

Candy, thank you for your tireless service, your bold vision, and your deep belief in the power of people coming together for good. We are proud to work alongside you in this work.
And special thanks to the Association of Fundraising Professionals, Greater Atlanta Chapter for bestowing this meaningful honor, and to Living Stories for the beautiful video capturing Candy’s spirit and impact.
